Turkey Sandwich with Cucumbers, Red Peppers, and Chipotle Goat Cheese

So, anyone who knows me, knows that I love me some coffee. I’m that person who needs a cup of coffee before they leave the house in order to function, and typically another cup once I’m at school/work. Starbucks has always been my go-to when it comes to buying a cup of coffee, and sometimes Second Cup if there is one near by. However, once I moved to Milton I discovered a place called Coffee Culture, which has great coffee. I thought this place was unique to Milton, but it turns out I’m just oblivious as there are actually quite a few of them in other cities.

I told my Mom about Coffee Culture and it’s safe to say she has become obsessed. Her and my step dad have weekly breakfast dates there on the weekend (so cute, right?) and are always trying new things on the menu. A few weeks ago, she was telling me that she tried one of their sandwiches and that it was one of the best sandwiches she had ever eaten. It’s called the Smoked Turkey Bocata, and it’s so good that we decided to try and recreate it at home! And we were very successful.


We made it for dinner the other night and I was very impressed. It is such a simple, easy to make sandwich, but it is packed with a ton of flavour. All you need is some sliced turkey breast, chipotle goat cheese, sliced cucumbers, red peppers and ciabatta bread.  The sandwich at Coffee Culture includes both goat cheese and chipotle feta, but we decided to just buy spreadable goat cheese and mix some sriracha sauce into it and it was great.


Also, the actual sandwich at Coffee Culture contains roasted red peppers, but roasting peppers in the oven can take a while. So, since we wanted a quick and simple meal, we just sautéed some red peppers and they turned out great!


So, any of you who want a quick, easy and healthy meal but don’t want to sacrifice flavour – look no further!


  • 4 slices smoked turkey breast
  • Ciabatta bread
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Red pepper, roasted or sautéed (whichever you prefer)
  • Spreadable goat cheese (We used President Cheese)
  • Sriracha


  1. Sautee or roast red peppers.
  2. Slice ciabatta bread in half.
  3. Mix together goat cheese and sriracha and spread onto both halves of bread.
  4. Place sliced cucumbers onto bread and top with sliced turkey breast.
  5. Top with red peppers and second half of bread.
  6. Enjoy!
